Michele Pouliot

Michele’s seminars are popular worldwide due to her entertaining style, creativity, and clarity of instruction.
Michele's working career spanned 42 years with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Michele has been responsible for promoting technique changes in the guide dog field from traditional to positive reinforcement. In 2016, the International Guide Dog Federation presented Michele with a Lifetime Achievement award for her work in bringing positive reinforcement to guide dog schools all over the world.
Michele has maintained dog sports hobbies since 1972, including competitive obedience, agility, tracking, and canine musical freestyle. She has completed 3 Obedience Trial Championships, multiple Utility and Companion Dog Excellent titles, and numerous agility titles on a variety of breeds (including Great Danes). In 2006, Michele discovered the sport of canine musical freestyle which she continues to enjoy. In 2008 she became the first to achieve double 10’s (perfect scores) for Technical and Artistic in the World Canine Freestyle Organization (WCFO)’s Championship division. She has since earned 24 double perfect 10’s and has completed 6 Musical Freestyle Championships.
Michele’s successful use and promotion of effective clicker training in both the guide dog field and dog sports prompted Karen Pryor invitations for her to join the Clicker Expo faculty in 2007. Michele continues to be a regular Clicker Expo Faculty member, teaching at conferences in both the USA and Europe. She is considered to be one of the “must see” presenters in the clicker training world.
